Will my patients’ records remain confidential? How secure is a cloud-based solution like Dental Pal?

Patient records as well as account details are treated with utmost confidentiality. Only the user will have access to patients' records. In fact, only a head dentist would be able to view all the patient records of the sub dentist; but sub dentists would not able to view the patient records of the head dentist.

While individual patient records may be downloaded, the system does not allow any of the users to download all the registered patients. If you must have a copy of all the registered patients, this may be requested from Globe, provided that the requester is the Globe account owner.

As far as cloud storage is concerned, Dental Pal is stored in a host cloud with the best security practices available today. The host has world-class, highly-secured data centers using state-of-the-art, electronic surveillance, and multi-factor access control systems. Trained security guards are the only ones authorized to monitor the data center 24 hours a day.

Environmental systems are also designed to minimize the impact of disruptions to operations. Multiple geographic regions and availability zones also allows resilience to natural disasters or system failures. The virtual infrastructure has been designed to provide optimum availability while ensuring complete customer privacy and segregation. All these factors ensure that your records are not only safe from theft but also safe from possible business disruption such as calamities and disasters.
